USA Fashion Show
Sunday Brunch Series
Mar 13, 2005
Jimmy Sung’s Restaurant, NY

The U.S.A. Fashion Show Sunday Brunch Series was a great show, indeed. It took place at the elegant, posh Jimmy Sung’s Restaurant, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. A small, intimate, group of people attended the event, which was highlighted by a wonderful array of designs by guest designer Milena Dobreva, an innovative women’s fashion designer from Bulgaria.

The restaurant was a luxurious Asian cuisine, with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The brunch, which was delicious, was first served, and then the festivities began.

Andre Aquino, the producer for the USA Fashion Shows, introduced the first entertainer, Desislava Dobreva, the sister of designer Milena Dobreva, who came out in a wonderfully colorful outfit, singing and doing a Bulgarian dance. After Desislava’s performance, the fashion show began.

There were models from all over the United States, who were picked to wear Milena’s fashion designs and participate in this fashion brunch. Her designs included everything from elegant eveningwear to clubwear with the most creative selection of fabrics anyone has seen in a long time—reflective fabrics, leather, silk satin and other elegant fabrics. All were proudly worn by the models.

After the fashion show, there was another dance performance by Michele Epsanet-Onnikian, who did a free-style dance, entertaining the audience wonderfully.

The next attraction was a luxurious line of furs presented by designer Kostas Gagasoules, which included fine furs of every kind, complete with accessories—fox, mink, beaver, chinchilla, rabbit, and many more. The finale of the fur fashion show was Kostas coming out with a model wearing a $100,000 fur piece—one of the most beautiful we’ve seen in a long while.

Milena Dobreva’s fashion career started with her studies in fashion, literature and theatre in Bulgaria, Germany and England. Her background includes having worked for such noted fashion and entertainment people as Vivienne Westwood, Kim Bowen, George Michael, Roksanda Ilinchich, and Paul Seville. She has even been accredited for having created the costumes for a recent dance production at London's Royal Albert Hall.

This was a great fashion show. We take our hat off to Mr. Andre Aquino, the Executive Producer for the USA Fashion Shows. For more information about attending any of Mr. Aquino’s fashion shows, or if any models or designers are looking to participate in any of his upcoming shows, please feel free to view his website, at www.usafashionshows.com for more information.
