Boomer 129.
Exclusive Urban Dogwear and Accessories,
By Rapper DMX, join the homeless dog models OF ANIMAL HAVEN TO UNVEIL BOOMER 129
August 19th, 2003
At the Q Lounge 220 West 19th St. (betw. 7th and 8th Ave)
It’s hard to imagine tough guy rapper actor, DMX, designing a tiny jacket for his precious pooch, but that’s just what he’s done with a new line called Boomer 129, named for one of the star’s nine pitbulls, and the one’s likeness is tattooed on his
back. The high-end collection, the latest and the littlest in a recent hip-hop clothing line boom, consists of puffy bomber jackets, mesh sports jerseys, and fleece pullovers. It’s the exclusive urban dogwear line, says Eric Justin, the company’s CEO and DMX’s collaborator. Prices will range from about $29.99 and up. The tiny dogs made their debut on August 19th, 2003 at a fashion show at the Q Lounge. Homeless dogs, from Animal Haven, that modeled. Justin says that some sports figures have already approached him about customized diamond accessories, find it in a pet and mass market retail stores starting in November of this year.
In an era where what you wear and what you drive is who you are, our goal is to take flossing to the next level. Boomer 129 is the first pet company to bring urban design to the masses. Boomer 129 is the brainchild of Earl Simmons, “DMX”, and Eric Arginsky. Being both dog owners and lovers, we felt there was a need to create a line of dogwear that was more in touch with today’s consumer. With a focus on urban appeal and comfort, B.129, has created a line of dogwear that you would dress your baby in—styles ranging from bubble coats and basketball jerseys to hooded sweatshirts and army fatigues. Boomer 129 doesn’t miss a beat.
On Monday, August 19th, 2003, close to 500 people, as well as all the leading TV stations, attended the debut of DMX’s Boomer 129 Dogwear Line. The master of ceremonies was George Whipple, of New York 1. who also had his Jack Terrier wear one of BMX’s dogwear bubble coats.
Different models from different agencies, include Penthouse pet model Victoria Zdrok walked the dogs from the Animal Haven, who were wearing DMX’s Boomer 129 dogwear line. Seven different dogs from the Animal Haven showcased different designs by Boomer 129 dogwear line, including George Whipple’s dog. People clapped and cheered immensely. They were very impressed with the debut of Boomer 129 and the dogs wearing them. I too was very impressed, seeing these dogs walking with models and handling themselves in a very good manner. I thought to myself that they would be very unruly in their entrances.
After the homeless dogs from the Animal Haven modeled DMX’s line of dogwear, George Whipple’s dog, the Jack Terrier, who walked out with a model, people stood up and applauded him. George Whipple bent over and said something to him, giving him a kiss on the face, and the dog handled himself very well.
Next, DMX made his entrance with two of his pitbulls, wearing his Boomer 129 Dogwear line. I got very scared like lots of others, and took a step back. As you know, pitbulls can be viscous. They were not on a leash. I got to tell you, DMX had these dogs trained very well. I take my hat off to him. They followed all of his instructions, walked around, rolled over, did little theatrics. Posed with pictures, and as the two penthouse pets joined in to take pictures with DMX, the dogs were very calm, and were not distracted one time with so many things going on. It definitely got my attention.
Animal Haven is a non-profit organization, that finds homes for abandoned dogs, among other animals, throughout the tri-state area, and provides lifetime care to animals that can't be placed. Dogs were also adopted by different people that night. The Q Lounge sponsored the event with light hor d oerves and drinks. All the money raised went to Animal Haven.
DMX, Earl Simmons, one of the most memorable MC’s of all times, the only artist to have spent a career inspiring followers around the world to bark and rhyme in loud bursts of maniac ghetto energy, only then to get them to read and rap and think and cry in private moments of honest thought and introspection. No one has ever done it better—no one has ever meant it more. Now, in September, 2003, a final book of verse grand champ. Not only does the album mark a return to form for The Darkman X, it is the perfect quota for a career that began in 1998, with its Dark and Hell is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood continued the following year with and there was X 2000. Grandchamp also represents a creative reunion with Dee. And Waah Deen, the two brothers who along with X turned the Rough Riders label during the same time period into the biggest in the world.

The public relations was very professionally handled by Liz Derringer and her staff members, including Kara, who did an outstanding job with the press and guests, catering to each and every one of their needs. I would rate this public relations company as one of the best and professional public relations companies I have worked with, and believe me, I worked with hundreds of public relations companies throughout the nation.
