Rainbow Push Coalition 2006 Wall Street Project, Inc. - 9th Annual Conference

000Rev. Jesse Jackson did it again. The 9th annual 3-day Rainbow Push Coalition Wall Street Project conference provided great opportunities to learn about business, sports, technology and more, all the while enjoying social conversation, entertainment and just plain having fun.

Sunday started off with an Rebuilding After Katrina,The Right to Relocation, Reconstruction and Return Conference which was moderated by Reverend Jesse Jackson,Sr and it included a panel of politicians like Reverend Al Sharpton,Marc Morial president of New York Urban League,and many more,the topic of the discussion was to help all the people who became homeless,and to invest money back to building the houses and business’s in the Gulf States, Alabama, Mississsippi, and Louisiana.

Immediately following the Conference, everyone registered for the many interesting conferences.
At 7:00 was a great welcoming reception, which feature hors d’ oeuvres, drinks, and live entertainment by Nefertari Bey Band and the Guest Speaker at the Reception was the Newly Elected Council Speaker and the first ever woman speaker elected to the Council as a Speaker Christine Quinn,who pledged her Support for the Hurricane Victims here in New York.

On Monday there was also a great career expo, which featured representatives from Ariel Mutual Funds, AT&T, Aramark, Calvert, Citigroup, Credit Suisse First Boston, General Motors, Goldman Sachs, JPMorganChase, DiversityInc, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, New York Life and Raytheon.

There were many more concurrent sessions for the day, including a Panels Entitled Wealth Presevation , Women and Wealth, Economic Breakfast with One Thousand Churches Connected. And Awards Luncheon.Guests and Speakers Included George Fraser,John Corzine Governor of New Jersey who made a Pledge to Reverend Jesse Jackson that he will open the bond and Mutual fund market to more African American Company’s doing business with city and State,Worlds Richest Blackman Robert L Johnson Former owner of Black Entertainment Television (BET) who sold his company to Viacom for over 2 Billion Dollars, he went on to say he has made more black millionaires then anybody else in the USA, and that he is now buying hotels and investing in other business ventures,he also went on to say he had no problem finding the brightest African American People to run his companies.

As the final day of the Rainbow Push Coalition winded down, everyone (those with tickets) started gearing up for the gala at the Spirit Cruises, We at Liberty News Online would like to thank Mr. Andrew Carr, New York Executive Director for the Rainbow Push Coalition for his kind invitation..
