The
First Semi Annual URBAN FASHION MAIN EVENT became the latest vehicle to
promote urban fashion's designers. Among these designers was the work of
Ecko Red, who’s designs included polos, shirts, active wear and sunglasses;
Def Jam University, Russell Simmons’ exclusive Phat Farm collection,
which featured urban hip-hop designs; Apple Bottoms, which featured jackets,
outerwear, dresses, jumpsuits and tops; Azzure Love Life Denim, a collection
which straddles the line between street wear and haute couture, and which
is inspired by the contrasts and complexities that color the life of the
21 st century world citizen from the favellas of Rio to the British shopping
mecca that is Oxford Circus; Baby Phat, which featured sweaters, jeans,
jackets, pants, outerwear, and skirts; and Indigo Red, to name a few. Also
present were Louis Santiago’s “Money L.” fur designs right
out of The Fur Palace, which is owned and operated by Lambadarios Brothers,
makers of fine fur designs.
The event committee collaborated with Hot 97, BET, Runwaynews.com, and other major media to establish the visibility needed to make URBAN FASHION MAIN EVENT a memorable one.
The two-day event which is backed by a team with a combined 25+ years of experience in urban fashion marketing, promotion, and special event production is destined to be a "knockout"! Slated for May 13th and 14th at major venues in Manhattan, New York. The Main Event team is comprised of KC (President and owner of KC Entertainment, Inc.) who has collaborated with all of these hot URBAN FASHION LINES for the MAIN EVENT. Each project that KC has touched has been enhanced by his presence and associations., Roger McKenzie (NY Stylist), Wylie Holliday (Fantastic4 Productions, Inc), and Jay Xchange (S&S Design Studio).
We would like to thank Mr. KC Rose, the organizer of the Urban Fashion Main Event, and Joe Clarke, from RunwayNews.com, for their kind invitation to this event. Anyone interested in learning more about Urban Fashion Main Event may visit its website, at www.urbanfashionmainevent.com.
