The
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens is a Non-Profit organization.The
Chamber Received its non-profit designation from the IRS in 1997 as a 501 © 6
designation .Its purpose is to assist in the growth and development of
Hispanic owned business in the county of Queens.The Chamber was formed
in order to establish business relationships, foster the development of
Hispanic Business through affilations, interchange, Participation,Certification
and education with the goals of unifying the Hispanic Community in New
York and elevating our level of participation in Corporate America and
Government.
This Year the HCCQ has had another outstanding year. The Chamber is growing at
a very good pace and a lot of good things are happening.we forged new partnerships
with the Queens Chamber of Commerce,sunnyside Chamber of Commerce and,the Jamica
Resource Centre.We have defended the community in many issues like the “License
Revocations”, “Pueto Rican Defense Fund”. And we supported
the merchants in the “Bronx Terminal Market” who were receiving eviction
notices.The HCCQ ,supported the merchants in the Bronx Terminal Market during
the City Councils Fair Hearings.Today the merchants are still.More recently we
participated in the new law that is going to affect minorities in a great way.The
new Law will serve as a platform for new and exciting opportunities for our business

The 2005 Honorees were: Presidents Award Winner,Maria Ivonne Garcia, who is Borough President Helen Marshall’s advisor for Hispanic Affairs and Commnuity board liaison for community boards one,two and three.Public Service Activist award winner, Congressman Joseph Crowley, representing the seventh Congressional District, Napoleon Barragan Hispanic Entrepreneur of the year award winner, president of 1800- dial a mattress, Female Entrepreneur of the year award winner,Esmeralda Vanegas, President of Esmeralda Magazine and Community Sevice Award winner Ana Lopez founder of the La Association Benefica cultural Father Billini non profit,based in Corona Queens.
