The
Digital Life Expo is the only expo of its kind, combining all, yes all
aspects of the digital world—not just computers. It encompasses cell
phone technology, digital audio technology, cable, satellite, and much,
much more. Even the folks from the famed Internet search engine, Google,
were there.
On the one hand, Microsoft was there with their Xbox, which featured the
coolest games you’ve seen in a long time, designed by some of today’s
hottest artists, while Ximeta was at the expo with some of the most hi-tech
sharing software, that brings the simplicity of individual local drives
to the sharing of networked drives. Their software even features mirroring
(data is written to multiple disks simultaneously so every copy of the
data is backed up in case of a system crash and/or virus or other threat)
capability. This should give you an idea about the diversity of the specialties
of the different companies that were present at the expo. Energizer was
there with their brand new Titanium Technology batteries, which they were
putting in folks’ devices free of charge (replacing their old batteries.)
Plextor was also there, with their brand new ConvertX PVR, model PX-TV402U,
which is the ultimate personal video recorder for the PC. You just connect
it to a satellite, cable or broadcast TV to record programs to your PC
in the DivX, MPEG-4, MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 formats.
Folks this was the digital expo of digital expos. Anyone interested in
learning more about Digital Life may visit its website, at www.digitallife.com.
