Thursday, March 30, 2006, New York Congregational Community Services hosted
its second annual “Celebrating Women” event, back by popular
demand! “Last year’s event was so successful,” said
Celia Zuckerman, President and CEO, “The hardest part was actually
determining who would be honored this time because there are so many accomplished
and exemplary women serving the community!” Among the honorees
were The Honorable Betsy Gotbaum, the City of New York Public Advocate,
Dr. Evelyn Castro, Dean of Liberal Arts and Education, City University
of New York Medgar Evers College, Antonia Yuille Williams, Director of
Public Relations Brooklyn/Queens Customer Service, Consolidated Edison
Company, Inc., Gina Bolden-Rivera, Sr. Vice President & Chief Credit
Officer, Community Capital Bank, Dr. Esther Siegel, Management Consultant,
Therapist, and Member of the Board of Directors, Dr. Margaret McClure,
Professor, New York University and Member of the Board of Directors, Lucille
Nicholson, Retired Administrator, Calvary Cathedral of Praise, Sharon Rose,
President & Chief Executive Officer, New Dimensions in Care, Inc.,
B.J. Smith, U.S. Army Nurse Corps, Retired and former Member of the Board
of Directors.
New York Congregational Nursing Center also honored four very special residents based upon their life experiences. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the festivities, many with their family members. Women with over 20 years of service to the Center were honored: Barbara Adamson, Nurse Manager, Czarine Alder, Food Production Manager, Prudence Crawford, LPN, Josephine Gatto, Accounts Payable Manager, Agenise Jasmin, CNA, Maureen Messa, CFO and Associate Administrator, Linda Noel, LPN, Paulette Paulo, CNA (Retired), Veronica Pilgrim, CNA , Marie Sangiovanni, Medicaid Coordinator and women who achieved professional licensure and/or Masters Degrees: Allison Depass, RD, Betty Nwaokolo, RN, Magalie Marc, MSW, and Esther Wright, MSW. Two dedicated members of the Caregivers Advisory Network, Josephine Earley and Helen Greenidge, were acknowledged for their devotion in acting as “family” for those residents who are alone and hospitalized.
New York Congregational Nursing Center is a 200-bed, national and state award winning skilled nursing facility. The Nursing Center provides short-term care for patients with complex medical needs who require rehabilitation therapy before going home and long-term care for residents seeking skilled services while living in a stimulating and caring environment. Also located on the campus at, the Center for Community Life offers renovated program and office space at below market rent for non-profit entities. The New York Congregational Long Term Home Health Care Program will be located in the CCL and in July will begin serving the needs of those who require skilled nursing care but elect to remain in their homes. The newly renovated University Children’s Day Care Center is already registering children for its September grand opening.

| Lidia Vita and Betty Coker are known as "The Dynamic Duo". The reason or this is they both work well hand-in-hand. They will cover trade shows, e.g. World Famous ENK shows, Fame shows, computer technology expos, gift shows and other trade shows and expos to educate you folks on how you can attend them, and give you exclusive, in-depth interviews with the vendors and the people behind these trade shows and the new products on the market. They will also educate you about different cultures and festivities.
